Charlie Prather Heating & Cooling in Elizabethtown

I am not impressed with the services carried out buy this company. I Called them to come check a leak out because all my freon had leaked out and was needing to fix a leak and fill up with freon. The service guy was at my house for an hour and a half and did not find a leak and wanted to fill the system up with freon and put dye in it to help. I told him specifically over the phone look in the out door unit there was a leak there a year ago that was fixed. He then told me he checked the attic and the outdoor unit and could not find a leak. He wanted $25 dollars per pound of freon and my unit needed 7 pounds so was going to run 175 for freon alone when you look on amazon or call around you can get 25 pounds of freon in your hands for $110 dollars. I told him not to go any farther that I would take care of it. I then had someone else come and look at the unit to find out the leak was obvious in the outdoor unit found it less then 3 minutes into looking. Also double checked upstairs and the door to the A coil never had been removed since it was installed. The company that installed the unit had sealed the door on with Duct seal and it had not been cut to open it up so it was impossible for Charlie Prather Heating and Cooling to have looked at the A coil for leaks. To top it all off my wife was the one at home at the time and told me the guy spent majority of the time up in the attic so he wasn't doing anything at all while he was there.
